Fashion Week highlights and eye-catchers
Paris Fashion Week in March 2021 is the culmination of four major fashion weeks in New York, London, Milan and finally Paris. In four consecutive weeks, designers and artists have presented their collections for the womenswear season autumn/winter 2021/2022 – under the shadow of the Corona Pandemic. But that didn’t make the fashion industry flinch at all, at the virtual Fashion Week in Paris the best designers presented their creations: The focus is all on fashion. These are our highlights!
Chloé: Ponchos, Dresses & Bags
The first collection from Chloé’s new creative director, Gabriela Hearst, unveils her first runway for the fashion label exactly one hundred years after Chloé founder Gaby Aghion’s birth. According to Hearst, the autumn-winter 21 collection is informed and inspired by sustainability and a commitment to the greater good. Ponchos made from recycled cashmere, dresses made from superfine wool gauze, the recycled Edith bags or the Sheltersuit.
Acne Studios: Swedish fashion house
The Swedish fashion house presents its next fall/winter collection at Paris Fashion Week. According to Acne Studios, this collection was created in isolation and inspired by what happens when we come back to life and enter the normal world.
Vivienne Westwood: Fashion Designer & Activist
Vivienne Westwood is one of the last independent global fashion companies in the world. Westwood makes fashion about more than just making clothes and accessories, she raises awareness of environmental and human rights issues and is recognised as one of the world’s most influential fashion designers and activists. She presents her new collection in a creative film that is rather less like a normal fashion show with a simple runway walk.
Hermès: Performance Art Video
Hermès has come up with a special presentation of its fashion for Paris Fashion Week. In the video, you can see dancers with enchanting performance art and choreography. Watch the whole live show of Hermès here:
Elie Saab: Feminine & All Black
The Elie Saabs collection is characterized by strong feminine silhouettes and monochrome pieces. In all black, each piece looks elegant, also green, white and light pink tones can be found in the collection. Saab sets accents with silver and gold, as well as shimmering sequins.
Jil Sander: Nostalgia & Elegance
This wonderfully nostalgic film showcases Jil Sander’s new winter/fall collection. Sander’s unconditional commitment to contemporary design combines elegance and purity with innovative materials and exceptional craftsmanship.
Zadig & Voltaire: Love Yourself
The modern luxury brand was founded in 1997 by Thierry Gillier and is under the artistic direction of Cecilia Bönström. At Paris Fashion Week, Zadig & Voltaire’s motto is “Love Yourself”. The collection will be presented in an exciting runway in front of giant screens showing the streets of major cities.
Givenchy: Exclusive women’s fashion
The accompanying video for Paris Fashion Week, in which Givenchy presents its 2021/22 fall/winter collection, is characterized by gloomy and dark elements. The cool and fast show reminds of something dystopian.

Dior: Disturbing Bauty
“Disturbing beauty”: this is the motto of Christian Dior’s new fall/winter collection. The video is reminiscent of a stylish thriller, besides the runway presentation the setting is characterized by a dark atmosphere and dystopian dancers perform a choreography.

Balmain: Runway on the tarmac
A unique and recognizable silhouette, style and attitude, fine craftsmanship, this is Balmain. The truly stunning new Balmains collection is presented at an airport, on the wings of an airplane, on the tarmac and even in outer space! The intergalactic runway with the moon in the background is a real highlight.

Chanel: Timeless ready-to-wear fashion

Miu Miu: Runway in the mountains
Founded in 1993, Miu Miu is the instinctive counterpart to Prada, an experimental, alternative expression of a unique vision. Miu Miu takes its name from Miuccia Prada herself and draws on the unconventional, complex and impulsive character of the woman behind it. The fashion is presented behind a breathtaking backdrop of snow-white mountains:
Louis Vuitton: Fashion at the Louvre
The crowning finale of the Paris Fashion Week on March 10 is the fashion house Louis Vuitton. To the music of Daft Punk, the models walk in the new designs without an audience in the Louvre in Paris and present fashion that is anything but boring!
